The Queensland Reds’ Anzac Jersey commemorates the strong connections between the Reds and the Australian men and women who served in our armed forces.
60 Queensland Reds players served in five wars – 11 of them never returning. Together they were awarded every gallantry award short of the Victoria Cross.
The main silhouette image of troops advancing at the Battle of Broodseinde Ridge in 1917 is believed to be Toowoomba’s 25th Battalion - in which QRU #372 Tom “Rat” Flanagan served. The image has been reproduced from the famous photograph taken by Frank Hurley with the permission of the Australian War Memorial.
The jersey collar features both the original Rising Sun insignia worn on the battledress collar, and a poppy emblem, as a mark of respect and remembrance for the fallen.
The jersey base colour matches the khaki battledress worn by the Australian Army in World War One, with the “black-over-blue” piping on the sleeve, a nod to the colour patch worn on the sleeve by most Queensland infantry battalions from World War One. Those battalions - the 9th, 25th, 41st and 49th – still wear these colour patches on their slouch hat puggaree band today.
The 9th and 25/49th battalions along with Brisbane’s 6RAR will form the honour guard as players enter the field at the 2024 Anzac weekend match.

Order Processing and Delivery:
Orders are usually processed/dispatched within 1-2 full business days, but please allow an additional 3-5 business days for deliveries within Australia. Delivery times may vary according to the location of your shipping address if not in a metropolitan area or shipping internationally. Please note that business days are 8am to 5pm EST Monday-Friday, excluding public holidays within Australia.
shop.redsrugby.com.au use a combination of freight carriers depending on the size of the parcel and its destination, you will be advised at the time of dispatch which carrier has been used for your order. A tracking number will be emailed to the customer at the time of dispatch depending on the carrier used. Upon Delivery, the order must be signed for. If a signature cannot be obtained at the time of delivery, a card will be left informing the customer of how to collect the parcel. Parcels will be held at the delivery service for the maximum hold time.
Should the customer not respond to the calling card then the parcel will be returned to shop.redsrugby.com.au unclaimed, further freight charges may apply and the original freight charges are non-refundable.
International Delivery:
Be aware if shipping internationally Queensland Reds Rugby / Mega Footy Store is not responsible for any import or customs duty charges that your country may charge. It is advised that you research your country's import regulations prior to proceeding with your order.
Please be aware that our ability to deliver to international locations from Australia may be impacted by current and/or future courier restrictions. This includes but is not limited to restrictions relating to Covid19, both within Australia and at your shipping destination. We advise that you research any current restrictions that may impact the ability of couriers to deliver to your location within standard international delivery time frames prior to proceeding with your order.
Delivery Costs:
Delivery costs are applied to the order prior to the order being submitted, the costs will be in the currency selected. If the item/s are delayed you will be contacted via email to advise that the item/s have been placed on back order and the expected delivery time, you can either cancel the order or wait until the back ordered item/s are back in stock. Payment is only taken when the goods are ready to be dispatched.
Payment Terms:
Payment types accepted include Visa, MasterCard, and After Pay, transactions will be billed in the AUD (Australian Dollars). You will need to submit your credit card at the time the order is placed on the website, a confirmation email is sent to confirm goods purchased and value of the order. An invoice can also be viewed via your account profile on the Queensland Reds Official Apparel website under order history.
Once the items on your order are in stock and are ready for dispatch, we will process payment for the Goods (plus any delivery charges) using your nominated credit card or After Pay account. You authorize Mega Footy Store and Queensland Reds Rugby and to debit the order value amount from your nominated credit card.
If your nominated credit card is declined by your financial institution, we will not be able to guarantee the delivery of the Goods, and may contact you to make alternative payment and delivery arrangements.
We may decide at any time not to accept payment from you by credit card for any reason. If we decline to accept payment, we will not process the Order and contact you to inform you that your Order will not be processed. We may process this Order or further Orders if you make a payment.
